Tips for practice in daily life
Some strategies you may employ to start self-compassion:
Ask yourself the question, “what do I need right now?” Often we put our own needs last
Be kind to yourself; engage in an activity you enjoy like going for a walk, reading a book, having a shower
Write down something you are struggling with and imagine that this has been written by a friend and what advice or support you would give to them. Now listen to your own words of advice and support to help you overcome your struggle
